Bioenergy Association will be speaking at the New Zealand Environmental Management Conference which brings together leading environmental and sustainability professionals from central and local government, business and not for profit organisations to assess the impact of the government on key environmental and climate change issues including changes to the Emissions Trading Scheme.

This two-day conference will feature over 30 speakers who will share their experience and expertise in areas including sustainable agriculture, sustainable tourism, water quality, waste management, climate change, air quality and post-disaster environmental management.

Sustainable Business section on Day Two

Brian Cox will present "How business and government can minimise their energy footprint through use of bioenergy and biofuels  technologies".  His talk will cover 

  • facilitating the implementation of commercial bioenergy projects to support the regions
  • investing in biofuels to reduce carbon dioxide emissions
  • outline the low hanging solutions related to bioenergy can produce immediate gains so as to avoid for Government to have to purchase international carbon units.
