Pelleton Renewables

Pelleton Renewables is an engineering-driven clean tech company revolutionising biowaste pre-treatment through advanced non-thermal drying and densification technology. We have developed and patented a non-thermal biowaste drying and densification technology that reduces wet organic waste volumes by up to 80% without heat or compression, producing stable, transportable solid pellets.
Our technology sits upstream of the biogas, RNG and waste-to-energy value chains, addressing one of the sectors’ most persistent bottlenecks: the high moisture content and transport cost of organic feedstocks from meat processors, wastewater treatment plants and food manufacturers. By pre-treating wet biomass at the source, Pelleton enables downstream biogas and bioenergy operators to process more feedstock at lower cost and with lower emissions.
Core skills and project activities
Non-thermal drying and densification of wet organic waste streams including food processing waste, meat processing effluent, biosolids and digestate.
Leading edge products and capabilities
Pelleton has developed and patented a drying and densification process that works without heat or compression, making it fundamentally different from conventional thermal dryers and mechanical presses. The result is dry, stable pellets produced at a fraction of the energy cost of thermal alternatives, with no combustion emissions from the drying process itself.
