The Pentarch Group operates across Australasia in both agriculture and forestry with its head office in Melbourne. It purchased Pentarch Technical Services (PTS) (formerly Wood Industry Technical Services) in 2000. Clients include Oji Fibre Solutions, both Kinleith and Tasman sites, as well as some 30 sawmills and agricultural feedstock providers.

Services

The PTS laboratory in Kawerau currently tests biofuels, including chip and hog fuel, for moisture content, (particle) size (classification), ash content, bulk and basic density and calorific value and is set up to receive samples from all over New Zealand. PTS operates seven days a week with fast turnaround depending on test. As an independent laboratory, PTS is ideally situated to perform verification testing for both new and existing biofuel producers.
