We grow, harvest, and continually replant radiata pine and Douglas-fir. Our lumber is sold domestically in New Zealand and in log markets throughout Asia. More recently we have started supplying bin-wood to the local bioenergy market and are always looking for ways to grow and make this more efficient.
We are also starting a new division [Port Blakely NZ Essential Oils] focused on producing essential oil from our Douglas fir estate. With construction happening in 2022, this will involve a biomass steam boiler – fueled by the distilled biomass from the operation.
