Core skills and project activities
Lloyd is a founding director of Whirika and leads our work in energy and carbon reduction. He is recognised as a leading expert in wood biomass energy and is helping central government (EECA) to understand the role biomass energy plays in decarbonising the industrial process heat sector via the RETA programme. Lloyd has undertaken a large portion of the RETA biomass work throughout NZ and has a good understanding of the supply options in the different regions as well as the challenges. Lloyd works extensively with forest owners and wood processors to create supply chains for the supply of regional bioenergy.
Lloyd also works with clients to implement decarbonisation projects, improve energy efficiency and process heat fuel-switching. Lloyd’s list of biomass projects include NZ and International clients.
Leading Edge
Lloyd works exclusively in the bioenergy space and has done so for the last five years. We work with a range of clients from central government to wood processors, sawmills and forest owners. Our knowledge of the supply side of bioenergy is well understood and we have good relationships with suppliers throughout NZ.
Lloyd is committed to being at the forefront of bioenergy in NZ and is excited to be working on transformational projects that enhance biomass in NZ and promotes the transition to renewable energy.
