Occasional Paper 20: Renewable energy options for Christchurch's rebuild

Occasional Paper 20: Renewable energy options for Christchurch's rebuild, (S Love, Sept 2013) - This paper is based on the master’s thesis of Simon Love entitled “Bioenergy utilisation opportunities in Christchurch and recommendations from European experiences”. This shortened version provides a very brief outline of the bioenergy (and other renewable energy) options available to Christchurch for large-scale energy uses, such as a district energy scheme (DES), or in large commercial or industrial boilers. To find more background information, literature review results, characterisation of the region, and references, please refer to the full thesis (Occasional Paper 18).
