Gisborne Pool is owned and operated by the Gisborne District Council, is a long-standing leisure destination servicing the Gisborne population and beyond. An ageing gas boiler and rising gas outgoings triggered a review of alternative energy options for the operation with wood energy emerging as the preferred option and resulted in clean emissions and fuel cost savings exceeding $50,000.
