Submission: Organics - Inputs notice for generic substances
The Bioenergy Association’s Gaseous Biofuels Interest Group has provided feedback on the proposed Organics Inputs Notice, focusing particularly on inputs relevant to fertilisers and soil conditioners.
This submission from the Bioenergy Association should be read alongside any individual submissions made by Association members. Members are encouraged to submit their own feedback, particularly on matters that reflect their specific operational experience and technical expertise.
While the recycling of organic materials to produce biogas and biofertiliser remains relatively limited in New Zealand, it is an area of growing Government support. This support is driven by the need to increase renewable energy and gas production, reduce reliance on imported fertilisers, and lower emissions to air.
