Waste coffee fired boilers win RCR Energy export award
Founding Bioenergy Association member RCR Energy NZ has won the “Most Compelling Strategy” award at the Hawkes Bay Export Awards with the development and supply of boilers to Nestle fueled on waste coffee.
The award is in recognition of a strategy that has been over 10yrs in the making enabling RCR to reach the point the business is at today. Waste coffee is a very unique fuel that presents a unique set of challenges. In overcoming these challenges, RCR realised that this was a niche market and if conquered, would put RCR on the world stage as a waste to energy boiler combustion specialist.
